所謂的污名,即是一種在社會中,透過人際的「互動關係」,所界定的身份狀態;以一種「好像本該如此」的屬性化模板,融為大腦的既定認知。污名與認知的對抗,即是一場關於既有印象重整的拉鋸戰,被污名者未必永遠都是弱勢的一方,而所謂的正常者也同樣可能被新的污名所淹沒。

污名讓那些異常的屬性,透過了某種視覺可見的表徵,被凸顯與界定了出來;肥皂不再只是一塊肥皂、而是做為一種身份的象徵;透過感受與刺激、喚醒的記憶和現實存在微妙的差異性,使得肥皂成為一次真實的感官體。也許當日常變得未知,當我們面對著真實的情境時,感覺才能由經驗中甦醒 ; 而所謂的感覺即是所有發生在皮膜上的事。

在肥皂接觸我們的皮膚時,它所洗淨的不僅僅是一種關於社會的身份、與表層的污名,那些因為接觸時所感到的體悟,連結著記憶與經驗,更關於著那些皮膜中形而上的事情。

肥皂作為一種洗淨的工具,它很簡單,但也更個人;我們通常不太願意使用在公共場合的肥皂,因為我們很難想像,在這塊肥皂上是不是有著比起清水更多的髒污。肥皂存在著我們所無法看見的歷程,而對於我們,其實肥皂更像是一位演員,獨自演出時的他靜置在時間中,空氣中的水分成了身上的結晶。消耗時,逐漸縮小的他和其他不同的肥皂相黏、也許變成了更為滑稽的團體,但終究在屬於他的日常,保持著乾淨、保持著正常,持續表演著。

“The most honest way to consider stigma is to avoid metaphorical thinking.”
“Stigma” is a kind of social identity defined in relationship through “interpersonal interaction.” And it turns into the cognition of “it seems to be born like this”. The confrontation between stigma and cognition is a process of reorganizing the stereotype. stigmas may not always be on the weak side , the “normal people” may also be overwhelmed by new stigma.
Stigma makes the exceptional attributes highlighted and defined through some visible characterization. soap is no longer a soap, but a sign of social identity, a supplier of sensations. Through the feelings and while using, it will awaken the subtle differences between memory and reality. So after using this unknown daily objects, if we face the real situation someday, this kind of feeling will be awakened by these experiences.
The so-called feeling here is all about those things which happen on skin; when our skin touch this soap, not only a kind of social identity, but also stigma; those feelings of touching connect the memory and the experience, it is more complicated, and it’s not just about the skin.
Soap is a cleaning products, it is simple, but also private; We are generally reluctant to use the soap placed in public, because we always think that there is more dirt on it. Soap has its history that we couldn’t see. In other words, it is more like an actor. When it stand on the stage alone for a long time, the moisture in the air will be adsorbed it and become crystallized. When it was consumed, it became thinner and merged with each other to turn into a droll combination; but after all, it is its own daily routine, keep clean, keep normal, and continue to perform.
